With the 10 cable cars in the Zillertal you can take it easy and relaxed, but also active and adventurous.

The wide range of guided and themed hikes through the 422 km² Zillertal Nature Park, which extends at altitudes from 1000 to 3509 m above sea level, only provides a small glimpse into the unique terrain and the species-rich fauna and flora of the alpine landscape.

Rental service, from bicycles to mountain bikes or e-bikes, make it easy for cycling enthusiasts or beginners to find the right model to go on a sporty excursion on the around 1,200 km of marked bike trails.

A must-do for everyone who wants to venture into the mountains in a different way are the many active sports that are offered around mountains and water. Paragliding, canyoning, rafting,... - a sepcial way to take unforgettable memories home with you.

Winter - more than advEnture

Deep snow-covered mountain slopes, imposing peaks, dreamlike scenery wrapped in wintery white, a play of colors in which the landscape and the sky radiate to the bet and a profound calm in a trigger - that's how the winter presents itself in the Zillertal.

With this impression, it goes into the gondola and up into the paradise for skiers and snowboarders. Here, winter sports enthusiasts of one of the best and most modern ski resorts in the Alps open - the ski resort Mayrhofen with the ski swing into the area Rastkogel Eggalm.

There is an altitude of 630 to 2500 m, with 142 km of pistes and 60 top-modern lifts, a ski spectacle with 100% snow reliability for beginners and advanced.
In the whole Zillertal you can choose from 544 km of slopes and 180 cable cars and lifts up to 3250 m of sea level!

Ski school, snowboard school and ski kindergarten for beginners from 3-99 years offer the optimal conditions for safe and skilful downhills.

Professionals looking for more will find the non plus Ultra in the Zillertal Superskipass, which includes around 600 km of pistes. And everything can be reached for free by ski bus and shuttle train.

Cross-country ski trails (35 km) and cleared hiking trails through the beautiful winter landscape, snowshoeing, ski touring and -guiding, skating rink, curling, indoor pool and sauna, tobogganing, winter magic and 'Hüttengaudi' the winter holiday in the largest town in the Zillertal are a unique experience.

Four side valleys, also known as the 'Vier Gründe', extend from Mayrhofen.

Magnificent mountain peaks, waterfalls, lush mountain meadows, reservoirs or a glacier can be reached by cable car.

Numerous hiking opportunities and bike paths open up an insight into the wild and romantic side valleys.

* The Tuxertal with the Hintertux Glacier - Austria's only year-round ski area and the natural ice palace and the Spannagelhöhle cave.

* The wild and romantic Stilluptal with a reservoir and numerous waterfalls.

* The Zemmgrund with the little village of Ginzling, the Schlegeis reservoir & Schlegeis 131, nature park house and countless alpine pastures and huts.

*The Zillergrund, where the village of Brandberg towers at the beginning and whose valley head is closed with the Zillergründel reservoir is worth seeing. 


In Uderns, approx. 20 km from Mayrhofen

This 18-hole championship golf course extends over 65 hectares and offers a spacious practice area with covered tees and a short-game-area and a large chipping area and PGA golf school, as well as a modern clubhouse.

Krimmler Wasserfälle

The Krimmler waterfalls are the highest cascade waterfalls in Europe with their impressive drop of 380m. The waterfalls are one of Austria's most visited sights.
