ROSENHOF AND BIRKENHOF

The Birkenhof,

a house steeped in history from the 19th century. Formerly also known as 'Schmiedgut', it has always retained is charm and style.

The Rosenhof,

stately and generously guesthouse built in the 1950's as holiday home for guest and home of the Moigg family.

Both houses are now run in the third generation and are part of the defining image of the entrance to Mayrhofen town center.

In the past, a lot was changed and rebuilt in the Birkenhof. Guest rooms, reception and lounges have been renewed and renovated. The house has always been subject to constant renovation. The Birkenhof is now the center of life of the Moigg family.

The offer at the Rosenhof has also been continuously improved and now the house sparkles in new splendor. In order to expand the range of bed and breakfast options, the guest rooms have recently been merged into spacious, modern apartments and the exterior facade has been renewed. Despite modern influences, the Rosenhof has remained unmistakable.

A lot has happened around the two properties in recent years. The two houses were redesigned with the green garden oasis to form a unit with a natural swimming pond, a hut-sauna and many beautiful resting places.

Due to their special location, the Rosenhof and the Birkenhof have always become a popular starting point and a familiar holiday home for visitors from all over the world.

About us

The Moigg family welcomes you!

The coat of arms of the Moigg family was first mentioned in documents in 1460.
From the Neuhaus family house (an inn and one of the first accommodation establishments in 1649), my grandfather Johann Moigg, the youngest son, started renting guest rooms in the Rosenhof with his wife Maria and their 4 children in 1950, and after renovating the old farmhouse in the Birkenhof.

The parents' generation has turned the accommodations into popular guest houses through their joy in providing accommodation and not least through their warmth.

The Moigg family has been running the businesses for 3 generations and care has always been taken to preserve the typical Tyrolean style and the original charm of the houses.

Our aim is, as in the past decades, to offer our guests an incomparable atmosphere for relaxation and to offer a good basis for an unforgettable holiday stay!

In 2016, Markus took over his parents' business with his wife Katharina and their 3 children and is looking forward to welcoming you to the Rosenhof & Birkenhof and getting to know you!
